Butadiene for Industrial Use

Butadiene for Industrial Use
Product Introduction

Mainly refers to 1,3-butadience in industry, CH2=CH—CH=CH2. Colorless gas with special odor and anesthetic / irritative effect. Flammable & explosive gas; liquefiable under pressurized cooling. Vapor density: 2.48kg/m3; boiling point: -4.45℃; critical temperature: 152℃; critical pressure: 4.32MP; can form explosive mixture with air; explosion limit: 2%~11.5% (V); Butadiene can form peroxide with oxygen, consequently cause serious explosion accidents. Therefore, it must be isolated from air, and appropriate amount of polymerization inhibitor should be added in the product during transportation and storage.

Product Applications

Butadiene is an important polymer monomer; it can be copolymerized with many compounds to produce various synthetic rubbers (such as styrene butadiene rubber, butadiene rubber, ethylene propylene rubber, nitrile rubber, chloroprene rubber, styrene butadiene latex) and synthetic resins (such as: ABS, BS, SBS, MBS, epoxidized polybutadiene resin, liquid butadiene oligomer)
