| Product Introduction Phenol (Common name: Carbolic acid), chemical formula: C₆H₅OH. An organic compound; colorless needle-like crystals with a special odor, toxic, melting point 43°C. Slightly soluble in water at room temperature, easily soluble in organic solvents; miscible with water in any proportion when the temperature exceeds 65°C. Phenol is corrosive and causes local protein denaturation upon contact; its solution on skin can be washed with alcohol. A small amount of phenol turns pink when oxidized to quinone by oxygen in the air. It turns purple when reacting with ferric ions, a method commonly used for phenol detection. Widely used in manufacturing phenolic resin, epoxy resin, nylon fiber, plasticizers, developers, preservatives, insecticides, fungicides, dyes, pharmaceuticals, fragrances, explosives, etc. |
Product transportation The transport vehicle must be equipped with a flame arrester and an anti-static grounding chain. The tank truck can be set with perforated partitions to reduce static electricity generated by vibration. It is strictly prohibited to mix with oxidants, acids, alkalis, reducing agents, halogens, edible chemicals, etc. | |
