2018 International Olefin and Polyolefin Conference was held in Ningbo on March 20-23. This conference was jointly hosted by Chemical Industry and Engineering Society of China (CIESC), Townsend Solutions and Ningbo Science & Technology Association, organized by Ningbo University of Technology, and co-organized by Zhenhai Refining and Chemical Co., Ltd. (ZRCC) and Ningbo Petrochemical Economic & Technological Development Zone.  More than 250 guests from China, USA, Switzerland, Netherlands, Japan, South Korean, etc. attended the conference.

The main theme of this conference is the optimization and upgrading of olefin and polyolefin chain with the focus on the discussion of the development of three major fields, namely Feedstock and Technology of Olefin and Polyolefin, Production and Catalyst for Polyolefin, Polyolefin Products and Application. There are workshops dedicated to PE and PP. The experts and scholars from some well-known transnational companies and leading companies and institutes of China (such as Sinopec, Chinese Academy of Science) attended the conference with 40-odd brilliant presentations. During the conference the participants visited ZRCC.
