ZRCC Becomes first Domestic Enterprise to Produce Bio-jet Fuel

On Feb. 12, Civil Aviation Administration of China (CAAC) formally issued the Chinese Technical Standard Order Approval (CTSOA) for 1# bio-jet fuel. Mr. Dai Baohua, vice deputy manager of ZRCC, received the license on behalf of the production enterprise.

CAAC arranged an expert team to strictly evaluate the whole set of technical documents and trial data for 1# bio-jet fuel production. Based on the stable quality and satisfy performance result from evaluation, CAAC believed that Sinopec 1# bio-jet past the airworthiness approval procedure, met the specification requirements and was ready for commercialization, thus decided to issue the airworthiness license.

The first production license of bio-jet fuel is issued to Sinopec, and ZRCC becomes the first enterprise to produce bio-jet fuel. From now on, the bio-jet fuel product is formally in commercial operation and Sinopec is the only Chinese enterprise boasting the R&D, production and commercialization capabilities of bio-jet fuel technology.
