ZRCC Owns First Domestic Millisecond Environmental Monitoring Vehicle
On Oct. 31, the first domestic millisecond level environment monitoring vehicle based on real-time MS made its first appearance. This monitoring vehicle has a 0.2 second response time and can monitor all contaminants that are commonly found in chemical companies.
“It’s hard to detect air pollutants because they can float at any moment. Thanks to the extremely sensitive reaction of this “electronic police”, the response time is only 0.2 second, thus no odors in the air can escape from its “nose”. Normally, it takes 20 minutes to get the analytical results by GC-MS technology,” Said by Mr. Gao, a technician from ZRCC.
It’s introduced that this Austria made environment monitoring vehicle is worth of nearly 5 million Yuan and it is the first environment monitoring vehicle of this type put into use in China. The analytical precision is very high (ppb level) and its sensitivity is significantly higher than that of conventional apparatus.
It’s said that a conventional vehicle can monitor the environment at least 30 minutes after its parking. However, with excellent anti-vibration, this vehicle can monitor the environment while it is travelling. Furthermore, with powerful data handling capacity, global positioning system, meteorological test and digital simulation systems, this monitoring vehicle can quickly indentify the pollution source and timely send the monitoring results to the environmental monitoring center of ZRCC via 3G.
At present, ZRCC is applying license for this vehicle and preparing the training for relevant personnel. Then this vehicle will be put into service and monitor the air quality around ZRCC and its surrounding area in real-time.
