Overall Quality Upgrading of ZRCC’s General Diesel
On April 11, 2000 tons of general diesel that meets China III standard in terms of sulfur content was transported from the company, which marks a new stage in the progress of diesel upgrading of ZRCC.
According to the requirements of GB252-2011 for general diesel, the sulfur content of general diesel will be controlled as per China III standard, which means that the sulfur content is decreased from 2000ppm to 350ppm or less. In order to achieve the stable transition, Sinopec headquarters requires that all refineries must meet the standard .By April 14, 2013.For this purpose, ZRCC developed a detail quality upgrading plan, which includes change the catalyst; further optimize the feedstock blend of III diesel hytrotreating unit, systematic management of general diesel and on-road diesel. As a result, the sulfur content of diesel product from No. 3 diesel hytrotreating unit is lowered to less than 350ppm.
