The highest social award for environmental protection-“China Baogang excellent environmental award”

On July 2nd, ZRCC was granted “China Baogang excellent environmental award” at the Great Hall of People on the 4th award issuing ceremony of China Baogang environment award for its outstanding contribution to environmental protection. The award was founded by China Foundation of Environmental Protection, which is the highest socially. ZRCC is the only enterprise received honorably this award throughout Sinopec.

Over the years, ZRCC has been committed itself to paying great attention to environmental protection and efficiency of resource and energy while developing production, vigorously constructing economic mode of internal recycle, and has achieved great accomplishment both in economy and society. In 2004, it was honored “National environmentally-friendly enterprise”. The company unswervingly pursues the goal of continuous reduction of pollutant emission and provision of environmentally-friendly products.

In 2006, the amount of processed crude oil reached 17.8 million tons, as nearly three times as that in 1995, however, the amount of so2 emission was just equal to that in 1995, the concentration of COD accounted for only 50% of that in 1995,the amount of fresh water consumption per ton of crude oil was 0.35 ton, discharged sewage water per ton of crude oil was 0.07 ton, all of these facts indicated that ZRCC had reached advanced international level ,both in production and management.
